 Introduction 

Job satisfaction is simply defining as employee’s overall feelings and the happiness that individuals feels in their jobs. In other words, it is an emotional response that you experience when doing the job. Job satisfaction level is varying from employee to employee depend on the nature of the workplace.     

Nowadays it plays an important role in an organization and the satisfactory level of employees will affect to the productivity and the of the company.  Therefore, the leading organizations trying to measure this feeling by having various types of satisfaction surveys.

It is an important aspect of human resource management to refer their employee’s emotional and the mental state regarding their job because the satisfied employees tend to perform better and to engage their works more, it causes to increase the productivity, at the same time dissatisfied employees are likely to have low engagement to their works, high absenteeism which cause to decrease the productivity,

“Job satisfaction is a feeling or affective response to facets of the situation.” – Smith, Kendall, and Hulin (1969)

  • Pay & Benefits

One of the most important factor of the job satisfaction is salary and the benefits.   Companies should provide their employees the accurate pay and benefits for their experience.

  • Job Security

Having job security in workplace feels employees happy and it makes them to retain long term to achieve organizational goals. Nowadays one of the biggest issue that companies face, is excessive employee turnover. Most of the employees simply leave the company as soon as they find something better, as they feel no particular loyalty to their job security. So the job security is one of a major factor for employee job satisfaction.

  • Recognition     

Rewarding employees for their hard work encourage them to giving their best for themselves and the company. In addition, a company with good reputation among their employees is a company where employees can enjoy with their colleagues.

  • Respect

One of the most important values human beings can have is respect among themselves and as part of a work team. This allows them to appreciate what makes the other different, understand, tolerate, and improve as a team as well as it creates a safety environment for the employees.

  • Outline a specific career pathway

Creates a personalized development plan for the employees based on their level of performances will make sure that the employees are ready for promotions in future. It makes them to retain in the job for a long period of time.

  • Communication

Clear and open communication in a workplace makes employees feel trusted and appreciated. It increases transparency within the company and the company and encourages trust. So the proper communication is very important at work place.
